I'm just starting to look into planning a surprise party for my parents 60th bdays, and I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions for a place that can hold about 60 people, with a dance floor, and that is reasonably priced? Preferably south shore of nassau.
TIA!!

Re: NWR: Places for a party
I had a 50th bday party for my mom in april at the American Legion in ocenside. It has a bar, room to dance, coat room, space for a dj, and you can pay a little bit extra for wait staff. We brought in the food and the served it, and helped us set it up. It for sure one of the nicer American Legions I looked at. We invited about 50 people, not all came....but I could for sure see it holding 60

Try Koenig's in Floral Park. We just had my Dad's surprise 60th birthday party there, and it was great!

Thanks everyone! My parents actually had their 25th wedding anniversary party at the K of C in Oceanside, and it was awesome, but we wanted to do something different...

I'm having my dad's 60th bday at Stewart Manor in Farmingdale. I don't know if that's too far for you though. FM me if you want details.
