Nothing expensive..I went to one place yesterday and they had beautiful yarn, but was completely overpriced...anyone know a place in the city (the only one I know of is Pearl Paint) to get yarn?
Thanks!

Re: NWR: Places to get knitting yarn in the city
Hi Pickles!
What kind of yarn are you looking for? The special ones can be really pricey.
Purl 137 Sullivan Street 212-420-8796
the Yarn Company 2274 Broadway (@82nd St) 212-787-7878
Wool Gathering 318 E. 84th St 212-734-4747
I would call these places before going to see if they have what you need and what the hours are. the opening/closing times can be funny. I *think* the Kmart on 34th Street may have a craft dept with yarn, but call first to find out.
