NWR: Planet fitness

NWR: Planet fitness

I know a bunch of girls on here belong to Planet Fitness. I want to cancel my membership. I can't find my contract...so I was wondering if anyone knew it there was a penalty to cancel? Also, anyone know if they make it difficult to cancel? I know some gyms try to keep you and practically force you into staying (my last gym I told them I lost my job and couldn't afford it so they left me alone).

THANKS!

I am shocked Colleen. Why would you want to cancel?

I am 99% sure you can't cancel without penalty, but I will look for my contract in a few mins and let u know.

lol you want a list?? i think i might go off on a very long rant if i start hahahahahaha

if you do see your contract let me know. im sure as a lawyer, you're actually smart and keep every contract youve ever signed. it seems like a lawyer thing to do.

i just file things away and completely forgot where they are

i swear to you there was a 7 year old lifting weights in there last night. i wanted to take a picture with my cell phone camera and send it to the cops.

i am putting my lawyer hat on and heading to my file cabinet...

my sister's friend goes to PF...she's 12.

the other day, i asked what the cell phone policy was...since there was someone screaming on their cell phone next to me on the treadmill. apparently they dont have a cell phone policy.

i dont belong there but i used to belong to the gym up in glen cove (Ilana you know the one right? Where glen cove/glen head and sea cliff come together? by the star bucks/CVS sortve?)

they didn't want to let me leave.

Okay - it depends on what kind of membership you have. Are you month to month?

I believe so. I pay the 19.99 a month. but i also had to pay that ridic. fee in june $60..to keep at that rate.

Okay - you can't get that rate guarantee back. But, if you have a minimum monthly committment and have already met that, you can cancel your membership by written notification by the 10th day of the month, delivered to the club in person or 'preferably by certified mail'

ANY monthly membership can be canceled upon 30 days written notice - so if you have NOT met your minimum monthly committment you can still cancel but you will have to pay a $58 buy out fee.

did i explain that ok?
