NWR: Please help with hair places!!

I am desperate! I need a haircut in the worst way but to be totally honest i can not afford many of the salons that i have went to in the past right now. My hair is way too long and I just need some inches taken off.

Anyone have any suggestions of where to go that won't break the bank?

TIA!

p.s. i live in nassau and work in nyc

Def. don't go in NYC. I find that the cheapest I can find here is like $75. I haven't been to Scissors in forever, but last time I was there I paid $35. My guess is their prices went up since then, but maybe not by much. They are in Syosset (you are from there, right?) on Jackson Avenue...near Cardinali's Bakery. I used to use Janet, she was the sweetest woman ever. The only reason I stopped going there is because I moved to the city and my parents don't live in Syo anymore...

Ah, I got it! My friend goes here, for a very basic haircut, not like layers and stuff. She said they are good and cheap. Super Cuts.

You can go to Astor Hair in NYC. They are very inexpensive....hair cuts start at $15 for women and they do a good job.

Dramatics NYC can also be really reasonable.

I get my haircut in Flushing at
Sasson 718-888-9908
They are Chinese and they wash(they give you a massage on your scalp and back while you wash)blow dry, then cut, and flat iron all for $12(i have long long hair) I been going for years and they are super sweet and do an amazing job. My sister drives from Salisbury and gets her done all the time here. Also she got some who lives in King Park hooked and she drives in just for this

In Nassau I used to go to the Nail/Hair Salon in the TJ MAXX shopping center in Carl Place. Her name was Judy and she is Korean, she does a great job as well not that pricey
