NWR-Please recommend a chic place in the city

for a birthday party/girls night out

I am planning a surprise party and would like to check out as many places as I can

I like Aja on 58th and 1st - it's sorta like a mini Tao with better sushi. We live a block away and go here a lot.

Rosa Mexicano is really great too (just went there for dinner with my DH tonight actually!)

If you want to get adventurous I love Pure Food and Wine on 17th and Irving. It's raw vegan and so tasty.
