So to make a very long story short my mom lives in Allaska and she has been very sick most of my life. She had a stroke in late June and has been fighting with doctors over the correct procedure. Anyhow her insurance has finally covered the surgery so she goes in for her preop tomorrow. She is having a stint put in her brain on Tuesday! I'm so worried.....Please send some lovin our way!!! I can't afford to fly home to be with her so it'll be extra hard this time around...

Yeah my whole family is there. Thats what keeps me sane!!! My dad is such a wreck though so I have to depend on my brother who is....well....much better with this stuff now. But he's still not good with getting the info liek I am. I guess it just comes with the social work profession! I want to know all the details!!! I sometimes weasle my way on the phone with doctors and get them to break HIPPA to help me out!!! It's amazing what saying 'I'm a social worker in NY' will get you!!!

i am so sorry that your mother and your family is going through this. Sometimes life can be so bitter sweet, it is wonderful that she was approved for the surgery and that this could be a step in the right direction for her, but on the other hand it is surgery and it is really scary!!!!!!!!!!! I will send prayers her way and if you ever are afraid and nervous you can talk to me, I know I have no clue what you are going through, but it helps just to talk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously don't forget about your LIW buddies we are here for you too!!!!!

Thank you all for your thoughts, I called my mom last night and she was at the salon getting her hair done. I love that she wants to look good for surgery!! hahaha
