FH and I want to buy a pomeranian from a reputable breeder. He's going to be traveling a lot again and I wanted a cute pup to keep me company while he's gone. Does anyone know of one in the area? Thanks!

Check North Shore Animal league, they often get small dogs in that are young still. It's better because you are rescuing one that's in need! Every Thursday they put a puppy cam up too haha it's SO CUTE.

This! FH and I adopted our dog from there. Hes great and we love him to pieces. Hes such a great dog. My parents always got their dogs form there as well. Never had a problem!

There is an adoption place in Selden where I got my puppy. It is called Paw Up (Friends of Freddie Rescue). She gets all kinds of dogs in, look her up on facebook she usually posts dogs pics as they are rescued.

there's probably a rescue site? i got my 2nd japanese chin from a rescue, but it wasnt local, i had to meet them in NJ. http://www.luvachinrescue.org/

Check on petfinder.com They get the listings from local rescues and shelters and you can search by breed. I got my lhasa apso from Bobbi and the Strays in Queens.....I feel like I saw a pom last time I was in there. Good luck!!

Poms are my dream dog too! I have been to North Shore several times but I haven't found one that I love. I'm going back today with FH's parents because they want to adopt a dog. Hopefully I see one that I like too
