NWR: poor kittens! vent!

FH lives with his family in Brooklyn and they have this awful neighbor who's been known to harm animals in the neighborhood.

A cat had kittens in the garage of the house next door (in between FH and the mean neighbor)and the cat stopped coming back. FH and FIL's realized mean neighbor found the kittens, so they took them in for the night with the intention of taking them to a no-kill shelter today...

NO ONE would take these cats. Everyone said they were full. And I didn't know, FH didn't even tell me he was calling places and being told no so I didn't even get to help brain storm and they had to take them to the pound!!



Those poor babies, they're only 5 weeks old. I wish I could have kept them, but I can't afford any vet bills right now, money is soooo tight, and not even because of the wedding because we're not booking anything right now, I'm just having issues to begin with... But I want to cry, I hope they find a home.

FH said all the shelters told him they were inundated with kittens this summer, that this was the worst summer they've seen for kittens and that's why no one would take them.

I'm so upset!!

Let me ask my Aunt...she rescues cats, gets them vaccinated, and keeps them until they get adopted....the only problem is she currently has 7 cats that were too old when they were rescued and have remained pretty antisocial so they couldnt get adopted. She keeps them since the shelters are full like you said.

I'll ask her and get back to you today...i'm going to call her today anywyas

Omg i must of missed the part where you said they took them to the pound. What pound?? I hope they are ok

Yeah, that's why I'm so upset, I didn't have any time to try and work something out, this all transpired between 10 last night and 11 this morning And I didn't find out they took them to the pound until after they dropped them off.

I got my cat from Brooklyn Animal Foster Network. I was sure they would take the kittens but even they said no!
