Is this a good area? I saw a nice codo there in a gated community. No nothing about the area...

I live here, and LOVE it. . Very nice area. Of course, there are some less nice parts of it, but that is true of any place. Great school district, close to everything. I give it an A+

Yea its a nice area. Like Heather said there are some less nice areas but for the most part its def a nice area to start a fam. And its 5 mins from me!!!

We've been looking at a lot of houses in port jeff station... I always say it's the up and coming neighborhood for young families!!!

Ranches. Major problem though.. I work in the city UGH!!!! But you get so much more for your money out east

The Ranches are so nice!!! That is where we want to look! I like Fox Meadow A LOT, but a realtor said they don't have a great re-sell value because there is no club house or anything.

Good to know! Where do you work? I also saw a few condos in Islip I want to check out. Would be a better commute. Fh says I need to suck-it-up so we can live somewhere nice!

I have a lot of couples that moved out here and commute far because they get so much more for their money out here.

There is a train like 10 minutes away in Stonybrook...that area is very nice!
