Did anyone see this on TLC last night? So weird, all of these women who were pregnant and had no idea, they had pains and rushed to the hospital and delivered babies! So freaky. One lady hadn't had her period in 14 years and another was 42 with a tilted uterus and unable to really have children w/out fertility meds, etc.

Although I missed this particular show I have seen things like this and they are crazy! Wouldnt the babies need extra care since the mother's did not receive any pre-natal treatment?

i couldn't imagine that happening. Esp not for me, considering that i have a normal cycle and would be suspicious if i started missing periods, not to mention - I'm kinda big on health and would FREAK OUT by the sudden weight gain. lol. No way i wouldn't know there was a baby in there.
That's sooooo messed up!

Well, none of the women were super thin if that means anything. I was thinking this myself. Like I have a really large stomach - not gonna lie - if there was a 10 lb baby in there I'd mistake it for a freakin gas bubble. Ha ha!

I can get it if your kinda heavy and have a stomach and kept spotting, etc but i think in most cases denial. I would be horrified because i smoke on occasion and drink - freaking baby would come out 2 lbs!

Re: NWR: Pregnant & Never Even Knew it?
I saw this like a month ago! I even got DH into it. lol. I just cant believe someone wouldnt know they were pregnant. I did notice the women were overweight so maybe that really played into it. But then again my mother didnt have any clue she was pregnant with my sister until she was 5-6 months. She was doing her normal routine, was getting her period and everything. She was feeling sick and the docs told her they thought she had a cyst. HAHA So I guess I can believe this.

The wild one was the lady who thought she had to make a number 2 because the baby was pushing on her bowels and the baby boy landed in the terlit. That's something that would happen to me. I have IBS. Ha ha!

Re: NWR: Pregnant & Never Even Knew it?
btw this happened to fsil
the baby was born premature (like say 4-5lbs)...at her house because she thought she was just having bad stomach pains and was just going to the bathroom.
she is a bit overweight but never had issues with her cycle or anything...and she was drinking/smoking throughout the entire pregnancy (eek).
but my opinion, she was scared/embarrassed and in denial (there is a bit more to the story).

That's the funniest line ever!
I guess if your period is off and you don't notice the weight gain, anything is possible.
I missed the show - were the babies born healthy?

Re: NWR: Pregnant & Never Even Knew it?
ok, here's my thought on this now that I am pregnant and this baby is currently kicking my belly, literally. I could see if you're period was always irregular you wound't miss it. I could see mistaking weight gain epecially if you're on the plus size side to begin with. But right now, this baby is literally kicking and poking me. You CANNOT mistake this feeling for gas bubbles or gas pains or anything else that you've ever felt before. And i'm 25 weeks...it's not like 9 months here. At this point, beside the fact that I am carrying like a basketball...I would have defintely gone to a dr to find out what the hell was inside of me that is kicking and poking me and making my belly visibly move from the outside.

I dunno. I feel like the mind is very strong. If youre thinking 'okay im pregnant' youre gonna feel everything cause youre expecting it to happen.

Re: NWR: Pregnant & Never Even Knew it?
Actually when I was pregnant with my daughter i had my period the whole time and did not know I was pregnant until the day i gave birth, I had no morning sickness no nothing... I only gained 7.5 lbs over the 8 months (she was 1 month early) and she was 6lbs 2 ozs of it. I didn't show at all I carried her up under my rib cage. I wore my normal clothes ... EVERYTHING was the normal day to day thing with me.... She didn't even kick they said it was cause she was litteraly crunched up in my rib cage.
However the day i had her i woke up in the middle of the night 1a.m. with pain (not real bad) in my stomach, kinda by my bladder, and it was like i was peeing myself (water had torn (not ripped) and was leaking slowly. So i went to my doctor and he told me I had a urinary tract infection (did no tests). Gave me antibiotics and sent me home. Yeah... the pain got worse about 8p.m. I went to the bathroom and felt a head crowning... went to the hospital and had my spoiled little princess..... Jackie.
