i looked on the recipe forum and posted a few days ago, but it's apparantly reeeeeally slow, so i thought i might get some feedback here. i just got a crockpot and am planning on making pulled pork in it tomorrow. i bought a loin of pork and bbq sauce and the recipe forum says just to put them both in the slow cooker and cook all day... i checked on allrecipes.com too... but i just want to check to see if any of you ladies have made this... and just how long i should cook it for... and on high or low? tia

Re: NWR pulled pork in slow cooker
I have never made that recipe but I love my crock pot. It makes such delicious things, especially meats. Usually, it's 8 hours on low and 6 on high, but check what the recipe says and just follow that. Good luck!

Re: NWR pulled pork in slow cooker
I make this all the time in my slow cooker. I usually use porkchops but it doesn't matter. You can do it the way you said with the bbq sauce (and I usually add an onion) and then cook it for 3-4 hours on high or 6-8 hours on low...it all depends on when you want to cook it and when you want to eat. Let me give you a piece of advice...it smells soo good cooking that its hard to be in the house all day smelling it. You are going to be starving!! Also, McCormicks has a seasoning packet to make it in the slow cooker also. I just picked that up last week in Stop and Shop. Goodluck! Let me know if you need anyother recipes....I have a ton!!!

Re: NWR pulled pork in slow cooker
I just made this not too long ago! We had pork chops (I think, his mom gave them to us) in the freezer forever so I figured I'd try them in our crockpot.
I just put the meat in the slow cooker with 1 chopped onion. The recipe also called for 2 tbsps of worcestershire sauce, but we didn't have any, so I think we just left it out completely. You have to add water to cover it, or at least almost cover it.
Cook it on low (the recipe said at least 12 hours). Then you take the pork out and discard the cooking water. Shred the pork with a fork and return it to the slow cooker. Add a bottle of bbq sauce and cook for an hour or so on low.
It was soooooo good!
The website where I found the recipe is southernfood.about.com I just google pulled pork recipes.
