The only thing you can do is keep your eye on her. Every time she chews something she shouldn't be, say NO and give her one of her toys. EVERY SINGLE TIME. Don't leave anything in her reach to chew - shoes, pocket book, etc. It'll take a little while, but she will get it. She should ALWAYS be where you can see her and correct her until she can be trusted. We used to crate our Rottie every time we couldn't be in the same room with her because we liked our furniture too much to have teeth marks in everything! LOL She learned pretty fast and has never ruined any of our things.

HTH - Good luck

she was doing so good this is the first time she ever chewed anything in the house that she shouldnt. We even let her sleep in my room w the door open and she doesnt roam the house. She learned sit stay come and spit it out within the first 2 months of having her. we were so lucky but i think our luck is running out w her being the best pup lol

my pup chews everything and FH and I were not around enough when he was learning to tell him no EVERYTIME....we just crate him a lot and keep an eye on him, or give him a toy hes allowed to chew!

Can you believe that this happened to me this morning?! I picked them up off the floor, washed them, put them away and when I went to put them on this morning, there was a big BITE taken out. I wanted to kill her. And she's a pit bull puppy, too. And chews through toys like it's her job. I had one toy that was supposed to be nearly indestructible- she had it in pieces in under a week! The best thing you can do is watch her constantly. I know it's sad, but I crate her while I'm at work but then she chews the bed in her crate even if she has toys in there. I've come home before and hardly been able to tell if she's in the crate or not because it's so filled with stuffing from her bed.

haha my pup does the same thing she loves to chew the stuffing out. She also has to pull of the eyes and noses of every stuffed animal I give her. I also crate train her ( well castle train I call it her castle and she knows it by that I felt bad saying go in your crate so I say go in your castle lol). hopefully she grows out of it soon!

10er crashing :). I have a high-energy, 2 year-old dog. He was never interested in shoes or my furniture (thank goodness), but he was definitely interested in chewing everything else. If you catch him in the act, take whatever he's chewing away, be firm, and say no. Don't send him to his crate because that's his 'safe zone.' It might work if you designate a small space in the house to send him for being bad (e.g., send him to the bathroom for 5 seconds). It took a while, but my dog does not chew anything of mine now...except for my underwear :(. I don't think that will ever get old, so I just have to put any underwear in a hamper behind a closed door or in my dresser ASAP.

My puppy is 8 months old now.

Wet a washcloth and put it in the freezer. Once its frozen -- try giving it to your pup. The coldness helps sooth their gums (since your pup is teething). My dog loved when i did this. Definitely supervise your dog though. I have a little french bulldog -- a pitbull might be strong enough to bite through the cloth and destroy it.

Good luck!
