So FH and I went looking for a new bed yesterday and the mattress alone was 1800K, are we crazy, or is that really how much they go for????

Re: NWR... Queen bed..
we got ours at sleepys around 2 years ago, and got it for $850. the original price was $1100, but there was a 1-800 mattress around the corner that had the same bed, for about $950, and sleepy's wil match the competitors price and take an additional 20% off, which is why we got it so cheap.

Re: NWR... Queen bed..
mattress stores run sales often...is there a 4th of july sale right now? if not, there's bound to be a big Labor Day sale if you can wait that long.

Re: NWR... Queen bed..
Here is a great Sleepy's story. Me and FH had a Full and talked about upgrading to a Queen. So when we registered, we registered for Queen size sheets..etc.... My sister moved into her own apartment and needed a bed, so I told her to take our Full because we need a Queen anyway. So ordered a Queen Miralux mattress & box spring, with the frame, 2 pillows, delivery and tax for $1450. It probably should have been more, but my Sleepy's card only had a $1,000 limit and the sales guy didn't want me to leave without making a purchase. The day after I ordered it, FH told me that he thinks that getting the bed before the wedding is crazy and to cancel it. So I called Sleepy's and told them that my fiance was being a jerk and wanted me to cancel the order. They called me back and told me that they had an early Wedding present for me. They refunded me the $450 I laid out and all I owe them now is the $1,000 interest free for 16 months. He would have extended it to 24 months, but I told him the 16 was fine. How great is that?

We were quoted for the Kingsdown beige/blue or something like that... I think we are going to shop a little more, and see what else we can find...
