NWR - Question about Happy Birthday song

My FH's family adds the phrase 'and many more' to the end of the traditional Happy Birthday song when they sing before blowing out the candles. Has anyone ever heard of this or sing it this way too??? We've been arguing (not very seriously obviously) because I told him that nobody else sings it this way but he doesn't believe me.....so we're curious!

Re: NWR - Question about Happy Birthday song

nah every fam has their own thing,
My family ALWAYS sings after we blow out the candles, they think it is the 'RIGHT' way...and is symbolic of someone making the wish and then everyone singing in order for it to come true...

so, i dont think they are wrong, just maybe different

i've heard that many times before. nothing wrong with it! i'm not even going to share what my family does during the song...although it's hysterical, you guys just wouldn't understand

I have heard of it... and personally, I think it sounds better than the 'cha cha cha' my students add after every verse!
