NWR: Question about WW snack...

I'm having some baby carrots and I used the balsamic vinegar spray dressing (salad spritzer)...good snack??

I have to rejoin WW online but as far as I remember it takes a lot of baby carrots to equal a point....

10 baby carrots = 0 points.
I'm guessing your spray is 0 points too...soooo if you wanted a no point snack you've got it

If you have a lot of points in a day you might want to have snacks worth 1-3 points though...at the beginning my Mom was the champion of no points snacks and she would get to 9pm and have 6-7 points left to eat...no fun!

Wait, I thought that if the carrots were raw then 10 = 1point.

There are some leaders on the board...hopefully they will see this post and reply.

Baby carrots are 0. I'm sure the spritzer is 0 as well, but if you use A LOT of it, i'd count it as 1 just to be on the safe side- i always round up!

Yeah I think I ate more than 10 so I'm going to count it as 2 for both the dressing and the carrots...

Unfortuantely it didn't really fill me up...

Leader Here!!!!!!!

Guess what....I didn't have 50 pounds to lose because of CARROTS!!!!!!

My recommendation, don't go crazy over the raw or even the cooked veggies. I personally don't count points for my veggies no matter how much I eat (except starchy ones). If I eat a bag of carrots, it's still better than eating a bag of chips, cookies, etc.

So true, but if I don't count it as something then I'll end up using the points on 100 calorie snacks which is nooooo not good.

Well I agree, to an extent. The thing for me is, if I had to count points for my veggies, I wouldn't eat them, b/c I'd rather use the points for something else. By doing it this way, I get my veggies in, and then usually I won't go for the 100 cal pack b/c I'm satisfied after that. And hey, if I go for the 100 cal pack, I go for it, count the 2 points, and move on.

The way I see it is:
If you're not counting points for veggies, and you're happy with what you see on the scale....keep doing it.

If you're not counting points for veggies and you're NOT happy with what you see on the scale, you may have to re-evaluate something, or start counting those points.
