I can't take it anymore. I liked her at the beginning, but now she is EVERYWHERE, even on cracker boxes, and she's just waaaaay too perky and over the top expressive!
I swear if someone gives me a Rachel Ray cookbook I'll return it or give it away.

I can see how her chipper-ness can get annoying but its kind of like the american dream... she was just a girl in a kitchen and now look at her!

I'm starting to like her more now because of her talk show but before it was on she annoyed me and her EVOO and Yum-O. Ick!!!!! lol I love the barefoot contessa much more.

I like her! But maybe thats because I live in Germany so whenever I go back home to NJ and see her its kinda of refreshing to see someone so happy and peppy since that pretty much is non-existant over here.

Finally--I thought I was the only one. When I first saw her show,I thought she was sooo cute,but shortly after I was like ooh she's kind of annoying. My biggest pet peeve is when she goes mmmm TO HER OWN FOOD--mind you-when she bites into something!

yep, she's on 3 jolt colas alright.... and her cooking is hardly impressive....
That said, she at least encourages people w/o any kitchen experience to cook SOMETHING.... and her recipes are reasonably healthy... so she's doing good trying to get everyone to eat a home-cooked balanced diet.... and directly reminds people of nutrition and how bad chinese take-out and fast food is...
there's only one TV chef I'm inspired by......

Terrible! Her mug is EVERYWHERE! ANd all of the food she cooks is so disgustingly fattening....everything is gobbed with oil, butter, mayo...bacon.....BLAH!

She is good for some stuff-- she shows people simple dishes that anyone can cook. But she has some horrible habits, like that 'garbage bowl.' That is so unsanitary.
I LOVE Ina Garten (Barefoot Contessa) and Lydia (can't remember her last name) on PBS. I also love Bobby Flay. Talk about easy on the eyes... And FH is fully aware of my like for him. He just likes Bobby for his grilling show!
