NWR: Random Question

Does anyone know how to make a soft bed mattress firmer?

Ok, so I just recently moved in with my FI. He has been living in his co-op for about 2 years. His mattress is not supportive and firm enough for me and I wake up in the morning with a sore back. I have back problems to begin with. I guess I should ask my chiropractor. But I don't want him to get a new mattress because the one he has is only 2 years old. I guess he could always give me a back massage every day.

I know this is random, but if anyone has any ideas or works in the medical field, I would appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks

we brought a novaform bed (memory form)

my DW back problems have disappeared for the most part. its firm yet soft. This is similar to the temperpedic (sealy) but at half the price.

we got it from costco

Can you put a board under your side of the mattress? Maybe egg crating would help? Ask your chiropractor. You could also probably ask someone in a mattress store.

I have no clue - but I do the same thing as you - I'm like - what - 108 people viewed my question, and no one has an answer????

The only thing that came to my mind...and it's a crazy thought, is to maybe place wood beneath the bed to firm it up...but even as I write it that makes no sense. Have you tried googling?

Another option would be to sell it (craiglist would work) and get a happy medium mattress.

MY FH SUGGESTED PUTTING A PIECE OF PLYWOOD BETWEEN THE MATTRESS AND THE BOXSPRING. THAT WILL DEFINITELY FIRM IT UP.
