NWR: Really freaky phone call!!!

So I'm sitting here sipping away on my new favorite cocktail and reading the posts, when our house phone starts ringing. I check the caller ID, and all it says is incoming call.

We have telemarketers all all the time, so assuming it's a bogus call, I don't bother answering it.

2 minutes later, the phone rings again. Again, the caller ID says 'incoming call'. And again, I don't answer.

Another 2 minutes go by and the phone rings AGAIN!! Fed up with this nonsense, I answer it. All I hear is a very faint breathing sound. So I say hello, and the caller hangs up.

I started to freak out and I run to tell FH what just happened. He dials the *69 option to see what number the last caller was.

Here's where it gets really freaky. The # that came up was 417-429-2011.

417= the day FH's mother passed away

429-2011: our wedding date.


I didn't believe him, so i dialed the *69 option, and it was true. Just googled the number and it's located in Springfield, Missouri. FH decided to call it back, and the operator says the number is disconnected.


So yeah. I'm sitting here with mixed emotions right now bc I am a firm believer in these kind of things!!!!

Thought I'd share my friday night scare experience with you ladies


*** ETA: SO I just received a FM from a wonderful liwbride saying she *67 the number, and she got an answering message saying

'you reached the Reade's we cant get to the phone right now...'


We're both in shock bc we both heard that 'the number you are trying to reach, has been disconnected, please try your call again later. message .....' So strange!!!!!!!! We're just going to take it as her way of trying to communicate with us i guess. We've had things like this happen before, but this really just gave me the goosebumps!!

YIKES!!! It gave me chills to read it!!! I would totally be bugging out too...at least you have FH with you to cuddle tonight!!!

his birthdate is 3/13/57

if you look at a desk calendar that shows you how many days into the year you are and how many are left...

the date he died was 313 days into the year and 57 days left....

What a crazy story! I'm freaked out yet amazed at the same time. I also got goosebumps as I read your story outloud to FH. I totally believe that she was looking down at you and wants you to know she will be there on your wedding!

we have a weird story too...FH's grandpa's bday who passed away was on 3-14 and for some reason we see the number 314 everywhere...I kid you not, we will look at the radio, time 3:14, his school id number 314, when we bought our last plane ticket it was $314...craziness...FH takes it as a lucky sign whenver he sees this # and that his grandpa is looking over him.
