NWR - Really stupid question...

This Sunday is my cousin's daughters christening... what do I buy her?

I wasn't raised Catholic so I have NO idea.

TIA, ladies!

I think a savings bond is the best thing for a christening

A lot of people do bonds (even as low as $50 or $100) You can get that from a bank. Other things you can do is get a cute outfit or something for the baby and throw a lil money in the card....I know it sounds cheesy but that's what some people do. I haven't been to a christening in YEARS...lol ( Honestly I don't remember having to worry about what to get b.c I may have been too young...I DID however, get a $100 bond for someone once.

GOOD LUCK!!

Just give $$.. easy.

Just like the Staples 'Easy' button.

Do you believe that they actually sell that thing???

You can do money (probably $50-100) or do a sentimental gift. I received a porcelain statue of mary holding baby jesus that my Mom kept in my room and I received a little jewelry porcelain holder that could hold a pair of earrings in it. On the top was an angel with her arms raised and little animals below her.

I think another cute idea is a piggy bank and you could put some money in there as well if you want to....Tiffany's has some really cute ones in the shape of a bunny rabbit....I think they are around $50 but I'm not sure....

Be careful with those. The bank will give you a certificate that says it's been purchased to give to the child, and then will send the actual bond to the address you give them. We received quite a few of these for my son's christening and two years + later we are still waiting for the actual bonds.
