something borrowed
something blue

i also just finished lucky by alice sebold

Lucky by alice sebold was a great book. I just did a training to get certified as a rape crisis counselor and I called the director of the agency that does the training to recommend that book to all the counselors. I think she is a wonderful person for sharing her experiences like that.

Edit:

Not a light reading book at all though!

that is true lol i was gonna put that

What is 'something borrowed' about?

a woman who sleeps with her best friends fiance and realizes they were meant to be. you really want to hate her for doing what she did but you cant help but root for her. besides her bestfriend was a real B I T C H

Kite Runner was phenomenal! I was so impressed...really interesting story! Definitely not a light reading book, but that is a great one for when you're back from the cruise! This really became one of my favorites.

Life of Pi was also extremely interesting. Not light, and definitely not a good cruise book b/c the main character is lost at sea for most of the book, but really really good!

eat, pray, love by elizabeth gilbert.

Wonderful book. The real life story of this woman who takes a year from her life to travel to italy, india and indonesia to do some soul searching and just focus on the pleasures of life and then meditation, etc.

I'm about half way through and I think its wonderful.

OMG! I am half way through that book too!

Oh, nice! I'll have to FM you when I'm done so we can talk about it. I seriously just love her so far.

Me too! I think it is really a good read

I love this book. It is not what I expected. It is a very irreverant reading that leaves you feeling less like you are different and more fullfilled.
