NWR: RECOMMEND FANCY RESTAURANT FOR GRADUATION DINNER

My sister is graduating from Hofstra and we need a nice place to take her to celebrate... anyone? I've considered a brazillian rodizio/ churascuria (sp) or just a really nice place with great ambiance... only thing is we dont like italian food.

how about a steakhouse?...Peter Luger's is on Northern Blvd. in Great Neck...

Plataforma in manhattan is REAL GOOD, its a brazilian place and the place is very nice too. Its a minimum of $65pp.

Blackstone Steakhouse on 110 is nice.

The people that own Plataforma in Manhattan just opened another one on Willis Avenue. We had my BM's Bacherlorette party dinner there and it was AWESOME!!!! It was also only $45 a person I think!

If you are looking for fancy...Burton and Doyle on NOrthern BlVD in Great Neck, is awesome. They are not as limited as other steak houses, they have fish/sushi etc... a little $$ but fantastic food!

FH took me to the churrascaria in Mineola on Jericho Turnpike. Everything was great!!

il Muliano would have been perfect but if you don't like italian........ Piccolo LaGori (sp) in Port Washington, is great food! You can book a private room at the Carltun (like the wine celler for 30pl) Rein in Garde City is fun they usually have live entertainment... There's steak house row aka northern blvd.... But if you wanna view great restaurants and get a review of them check out greatrestaurantsof longisland.com. I may be wrong w/ the website so if it doesn't work try googeling it. They sell the magazine at boarders too... HTH

there is a churascaria in mineola in nassau but i don't know the name of it. i heard it is really good.
