NWR: Recommendations

I am looking to buy my dad a navigation system for his birthday. Anyone have one that they love and can recommend?

I'll have to get back to you on that. We bought my parent's that as a Thank You for the wedding.

Oh wait... My husband got it on pricegrabber.com. They have a few to choose from and the prices are great

Both myself and I swear by Garmin...if your dad has a bluetooth capable cell phone, I would get that one...the most expensive one is really thin, but the only features are maps of Europe (because we all drive to Europe daily) and you can use the cell phone through the car audio speakers. Personally, it is a waste of 900 dollars. The one I have just has the step by step directions (it tells you turn left of First Street, not make the first left, which i like better) and a traffic option. FH has the one that has bluetooth capabilities and real time traffic alerts...it was 500, mine was about 350. Also, GET A WARRANTY!!! I can't tell you how great they are...when it starts malfunctioning (because it will), you just take it back and get another of equal value, and with the constant change in technology, you tend to get the better model the next time around...hope this helps! (FH does computers...can you tell? )
