If you are going to Europe on your honeymoon, I would wait and buy one there. they are pricey, but worth it if you are spoiled like me and love good coffee....

other than that, Krups is pretty good, but I really love the old fashioned percolator (sp) Farberware makes a pretty good one too. I think they sell them at Macy's. Not sure about Bed Bath.

Good luck.

This is what I ended up getting (and I got it as a present already). Frank is excited and I can't wait to use it. We are also going to register for a 'one cup' system too!

Do you think it is better to get a combo (coffee & expresso) maker rather then separate machines??? FH only drinks expresso but I know we need a coffee maker...

I haven't found one that I like. I want something that keeps the coffee HOT. I hate it when I go to have a second cup and it's warm, by the time you add milk it's no good. And with three kids and one on the way, (when I'm able to have a cup again) I want it to be HOT.

I HAVE the same one! FH bought it for me! I have had it for a few years and cannot figure out the proper amount of espresso to put in it- no matter what, it just doesn't come out right.

It is possible that it's because I am just not adept at it (it makes good regular coffee) but I am becoming of the mind that for espresso, the European brands are the way to go.

Leese, if you figure it out, PLEASE let me know...it is too expensive to be a decorative piece on my counter top!

We got engaged in DC when I was away for business he came down - my mother picked us up at the airport and had a coffee pot waiting for me at the house so she got me a purk pot which is what she has and I love her coffee
