FH and I currently live in Boston but are moving back to NY in a few months. We have to be pretty close to Schneider Children's Hospital where FH is starting his residency (New Hyde Park).
We'll be renting until after the wedding, and are looking for a 2-bedroom apartment/townhouse with parking. We don't want a big 20-floor apartment building -- we'd rather something more like a suburban community. Any suggestions on complexes or rental companies within ~10 miles of NHP?

The Fairhaven complexes in either Mineola or Carle Place might be what you're looking for.

I work at Hillside Hospital (right next to Schneiders) and I have a great apt, takes me about 20 mins to get there...FM me for more info if you want

williston park apartments are in a nice rea. i live in new hyde park n fh mom lived in the willis p apts. theyre a nice size n i dont believe too expensive. but it is in a residential area.

Glen Oaks and Parkwood in Bellerose (have rentals, check craigslist and real estate websites) right next to new hyde park. border of nassau and queens , next to all major highways. We live in a garden apartment and have bbqs all summer and every one is so friendly its awesome. I always say its like college with a bank account! plenty of street parking and thier are spots if the unit comes with it. pic below is my complex
