Hi ladies, I'm hoping you can tell me any areas in Nassau that have nice condos for rent? Fh has left it up to me to find a place for us to move into, but unfortunately I'm not from LI ,so I have no idea what neighborhoods are considered good, and are pet friendly. Any help you ladies can provide would be most appreciated!

are you looking in nassau or suffolk? nassau tends to be a little pricier, but I prefer it to suffolk because you are closer to nyc. Flowerview condos in floral park are really nice, but I think those are condos you have to purchase, not rent. Areas I like though are Floral Park, Garden City, Franklin Square, and areas around there... Areas in Nassau i would avoid would be Freeport, Uniondale, Hempstead, Roosevelt, and some areas of Baldwin but not all.
Rockville Centre is really nice and there is a good crowd of young adults over there. There is a nice town area with bars and stuff and I have alot of friends that live over there. Long Beach is another area with younger people as well.

Def areas in nassau, since we both need to be closer to work. And thank you so much for the list! It def helps, since I've also looked into renting home apartments, but lately all the areas I picked were vetoed and considered rough lol It'd help if he gave me a list of places to avoid, but obviously that would make me life too easy

There are so many great areas in Nassau! Right now, I live in Stewart Manor and FH lives in Bellerose. We were originally thinking about RVC - my whole family lives there and actually one of them is the mayor of the town haha but ultimately we decided on Forest Hills because we wanted somewhere that people could visit and a different scene since I've been hanging out there since I was a kid.
Floral Park, Rockville Centre, Garden City, Franklin Square, Bellerose and New Hyde Park are all great areas with transpotatiion/towns within walking distance that have everything! The town I currently live in doesn't have any condos.

It really depends what you are looking for. I live in a condo in freeport (own not rent) and it's right on the water and perfect for our lifestyle (boating, nightlife, etc). Rockville centre has a lot of good restaurants, bars and shops. If your looking into the south shore, long beach always has tons of rentals. Every town has 'good' and 'bad' sections. It really depends on what you're looking for

Check out MLSLI.com and condos.com! I feel like most areas in Nassau are fine. We've been looking into condos also and it seems that there are more condos in Suffolk than in Nassau but we're really not interested in Suffolk! Also, the north shore has a lot more than the south shore... Great Neck, Floral Park etc.

Definitely recommend Rockville Centre! I'm not from Long Island originally so when FH wanted to move back to NY since he's from here, I wanted to live in a town where I could meet new people and we could go out to dinner or take a walk around the neighborhood and feel comfortable. Also, there are express trains into the city from RVC so that was a big plus for us since we both work in Manhattan.
Long Beach is also great, just a bit farther.

You can look at the Avalon Communities in Garden City or Glen Cove. They all allow up to two pets. They are pricey though. There are also condos we looked at in Roslyn or in Port Washington.
