Re: NWR-RESUMES
definitly at the bottom ... it shoudl be:
-- your info (name, address, phone num) -- objective (to obtain a position in ___ using my extensive ___ skills) -- work experience -- other skills (if applicable ... like knowing how to use MS Word, typing speed, etc) -- education -- references (always write 'available upon request' here)

Re: NWR-RESUMES
It should be at the bottom unless you are fairly fresh out of school OR education is of extreme importance to your job field.

Re: NWR-RESUMES
Microsoft word usually had very good templates, and you can even find some online. My CV has edication at the very top, but thats job specific. What are you looking for? Good luck!!!

Mine is the second to last thing on the bottom, with the last being references.

Amber,
Where are you an HR manager? Question - I just graduated from law school and I have my education at the top of my resume, should I change that?
FH graduated from college 2 years ago and I think he still has his education on top but he's been at the same company since he graduated - should that be changed also?
TIA!

i totally disagree - it really depends on the position you're applying for
i'm a lawyer and legal resumes always have education at the top

Re: NWR-RESUMES
I work in colleges and have held workshops on resumes many times. it depends on your field and how far out you are from graduating college. i know in the education field, your edu. info comes first, whereas in business it would be listed on the bottom.
also, if you have enough on your resume, don't bother to put a summary of qualifications or an objective--it's usually a waste of space as everyone applying for jobs basically have the same objectives!
ETA: if you want someone to look over it with a critical eye, feel free to FM me and I'll send you my e-mail address! I am a little nerdy when it comes to resumes .

Re: NWR-RESUMES
I have my education top. I recently finished my MBA degree so definitely want that up there. It depends on profession. You know your resume, are your credentials your strong point and what will get you the job or is your experience your strong point and what will get you the job.

I would keep your education on top given your profession and fresh out of school. As for your FH, he could probably move his to the bottom - though I'm not sure what he does Good luck with your search!
