Anyone been to River Cafe in Brooklyn? We were invited to a birthday dinner there tonight and I'm unsure of the dress code. I know guys are supposed to wear jackets after 5 but are jeans/jacket allowed?

I got engaged there! II would just wear a nice cocktail dress and a jacket for the guys and khakis. I mean the wont kick you out, but it is a fancy place.The food and the view is amazing!!!

DH took me there for my birthday 2 years ago. I looooved the food. Jackets for guys are required. I wouldn't do jeans. DH wore black dress pants, button down shirt, and a black jacket.

I have been there many times. Very nice place. I wouldn't do jeans. Dressy pant/slacks and a Jacket would be fine :) Enjoy

I went for my bday like last yr. ITA - great food! i would def dress up

No jeans, for sure. Dress up, definitely. I had my birthday there a few years ago and we considered it for our wedding but at about $350 pp it was OB.
