NWR: saying good-bye is sooo tough

I normally hate good-bye's but now im really dread them.

i've been workign with 5 families for the past 7 months doing family counceling with them.

yesterday, today, and tomorrow i have to say good-bye.

i have been prepping them and myself for the past 4 weeks, but its tough now. real tough.
these families have made such improvements even if it was the smallest, it was big in their life. i will miss them, and i hate knowing the worst thing that they will have no one to immideatly replace me <-- its complicated with all the agencies involved and how they use interns.

but allin all i had a great year, i just hate leaving the kids most of all

ok thats all... now im off to say good-bye, again

i can't.. its 'not ethical' and it crosses too many boundaries... UGH.. although yesterday one of the moms took a picture of me and her boys bc she knows next week they will ask for me

OMG i totally feel your pain!!! im a social worker & i do individual and family therapy & i have had to say goodbye to clients at previous jobs & in my current one when we discharge them... it really is very sad!!!

just think about the many other people you will influence and how you will change many more lives for the better!!!!!
