NWR says we will never forget.

NWR says we will never forget.

we pray for you, we miss you, and we will never forget.

You are in our hearts and minds forever. We hope you have found peace, and that your families and loved ones do too.

Rest in Peace

Oh my love
It's a long way we've come
From the freckled hills
To the steel and glass canyons

From the stony fields
To hanging steel from skies
From digging in our pockets
For a reason not to say goodbye

These are the hands that built America
Ah ah ah...America

Last saw your face
In a watercolored sky
As sea birds argue A long goodbye

I took your kiss
On the spray of a new lined star
You gotta live in your dreams
Don't make them so hard

And these are the hands that built America
Ah ah ah...America

Of all of the promises
Is this one we can keep
Of all of the dreams
Is this one still out of reach
Alle Alle

Its early fall
There's a cloud in the New York skyline
Innocence...dragged across a yellow line

These are the hands that built America
These are the hands that built America
Ah ah ah...America
Ah ah ah...America

Beautiful Jess! Thanks for posting this.

I will never forget what happened for as long as I live. Five years have passed but everything is still fresh in my mind.

Re: NWR says we will never forget.

i was doing OK on my drive to work [ok..it's all of 12 mintues...] with the radio stations talking about things and whatnot...i wouldn't watch TV. but AT work, they had CBS radio on and they were playing the survivors/family members reading off names...i was in tears...i had to just shut it off.

mind you, i was in NC in 2001, hadn't met DH yet and NOW feel like i was the least effected person by the whole thing...but at the time, it killed me...i was terrified, my daugther was 6 months old [that crazy texan woman had drowned her kids that summer...i was already terrified to bathe my baby...] and her father was in the national guard...i spent 3 weeks in total fear of an invasion...i had dreams of people coming in and attacking us. the first plane i heard after 9-11 scared the bejesus out of me! i never realized how loud and yet everyday a plane was to me.

those people on the radio reading off names, brought it all back. i was lucky. i lost no one and really only lost my sense of security. but it still hurts.

to everyone.

I can't believe it's been 5 years already, we will never forget. I thank God that I didn't lose any loved ones, and for bringing DH and his daughter into my life.
