I had dry hair this summer from overprocessing. Check out Biolage moisterizing shampoo. Excellent and smells fabu. You can get it at CVS as well, it is about 14 bucks.

Oh Michele I'm right there with you on this issue. My hair is so dry, knotty, flat and dull. my FH insists on buying suave, but i hate it. I need a new shampoo too, especially for the wedding so my hair is nice and shiny and full of life.

I second Biolage moisturizing shampoo. Once I started using it, my hair looked so silky and shiny. Definitely recommend it.

Re: NWR: Shampoo

you should get a deep conditioning treatment...either in a salon or you can do a hot-oil treatment at home

Try Biolage smoothing shine milk. You spray it on damp hair before you blow dry. It is a miracle product!!

I use Biolage but when it's dry sometimes I use this Neutrogena conditioner...... it's at CVS in an orange-y color bottle....

I love Aussie: 3 minute miracle.

I used to use Biosilk Silk therapy. It's a leave in and you only use a real small amount. My hair used to be so dry from perming and coloring I could barely comb through it.

I use Alterna - the one in the orange bottle. I don't think you can get it at CVS, but, I have to say that it is worth the trip to the salon to get it and the cost. My hair is awesome after using it, and my color lasts much longer. I also use the Alterna Caviar styling spray which is like a miracle in a bottle.

I third Pantene. You also might want to get a leave in conditioner. I use KMS's Silker. It is a conditioner and styler.

I like Matrix products. The smoothing system ones are good.

I also suggest Biolage. I have not used it but my stylist (who also does Caucasian hair) recommends it and uses it all the time.

She gives away Biolage sets to her oldest daughters teachers in PA every year and they all love it (and send great thank you notes). I never thought of hair products as a gift until I was asking her about a Secret Santa idea for a woman I varely know from work and she told me what she does each year.

I fourth Pantene. I swear by it, but you should switch it up. Don't use the same shampoo and conditioner every single day, that will dry out and/or make your hair oily.
