I plan on shopping Friday morning, but I won't make my game plan until Wednesday, when all the papers come out with the official deals. Then, we'll make a road map to savings.

Re: NWR: Shopping Bargains
you never heard of cyber monday! its basically exactly what you said. I am working friday, or else i would actually go to the store....even though i hate crowds too. I've never tried to get the deals online, but i'm gonna try really hard this year. I wanna TV and a new laptop.

Re: NWR: Shopping Bargains
Hint: Go online Thanksgiving morning when you wake up. The deals start then. Also, my mother and I pick 1 store for electronics. In our experience, here are my tips:
We don't do Best Buy (we waited all night and then people jumped the line and BB did a HORRIBLE job being fair to people there all night.
Target is my fav when it comes to risk management, their deals are great, and it's my favorite place to be.
Staples is fair and they have good deals on tvs, laptops, and such
Kohl's is great for anything else you want (after the electronics). It's a good 2nd store, but their deals continue through the holidays and some things become cheaper in Dec.
Lastly, try to be FIRST in line! As a woman, I have noticed that when I'm first in line, I get to make the rules when it comes to planning the entire evening. I am usually first.. I put something down in front of the door, then sit in my car all night. We set ground rules for everyone that follows and when the door open, everyone is tired, but nobody is grumpy.
