My FBIL broke up with his gf of 2 years about 6 mos ago. We got along really well at first but closer to the end of the relationship I was really cold twords her... I know it is horrible but I am very close to my FBIL and I just didnt like the way she was treating him.. after I got engaged she just went marriage obssesed since they were dating the same amount of time and they are alot older then we are. She wouldnt leave him alone! thats all she talked about 24/7. I havent spoken to her since they broke up and I feel bad.. is it to late to call and talk to her? My fh dosent think its a good idea... she kind of harassed FBIL for awhile after they broke up with nasty messages and emails and has finally stopped..

I would respect your FH feelings in the situation, and FBIL. I do not think it would be a good idea to call her, unless you were friends with her, before your FBIL met and started dating her. She also, might miss interpit the reaso for your call, and think that your FBIL asked you to call her, to see how she is doing etc..... I think it might put everyone in an awkward situation. I would only call if you FH and FBIL asked you to...

I agree with 2UNTAMED. Think about how your FBIL would feel. But if he doesn't mind, then go ahead and call.

I had a similar situation happen and didnt call. She emailed me recently after the wedding congratulating me and sent a gift. I said thanks and left it as is. Good luck.
