NWR: Sign Language

I'm looking to find out if anyone has taken classes to learn sign language or if they can recommend any good books/cd/dvd's that they've used?

TIA!

it's a locator for sign language classes. i was taking classes in austin, tx that were really good, (i plan on continuing in grad school) but that doesn't help you much. however, i do have a bunch of good sources at home. i'll see if i can find them.

I've taken sign language courses through my union, for $50.....Also, I'm not sure if they still offer them, but when you work with the dev. disabled, sometimes, the schools (YAI, AHRC, UPC) offer classes to the parents or advocates, you can find out with them.

I took a course at Queens college through their continuing ed program. I think Nassau offers them too both through continuing ed and for credits.

Good luck!!
