NWR- Simple Dessert or Hor Dourves for Halloween party
My sister is having a Halloween party Friday night. I won't have a lot of time to put something together Thursday night or Friday since I have to work. Does anyone have any simple and/or quick but creative ideas??

I made an apple tart today and it took about an hour... I'm thinking you probably mean something that takes a little less time than that.
I'd say go get the ready-to-bake cookie dough and through it on -- people always love those cookies and it's still 'fresh' since you're baking them yourself!
Otherwise, you can make brownies from a mix and top them with marshmellows as soon as they come out of the oven and put graham crackers on top to make 'smores brownies' -- it's creative and a big hit.

How about making rice krispies treats and use a halloween cookie cutter of a pumpkin or bat to make cute treats
you can decorate as you wish (faces on pumpkins, or eyes for the bats) or leave plain!

my specialties:
chili dip: prep time: 5 minutes, bake time: 25 minutes what you need: 8oz Cream Cheese 1 can hormel chili (with beans/meat) shredded cheddar cheese cooking tin (cake tray works well) - spread cream cheese evenly in tray. pour chili over sprinkle cheese
place in 350 oven for about 25 minute, or until cheese is melted (white cheddar cheese melts nicer then orange).
serve with tortilla chips.

taco salad: prep time: 5 minutes, bake time: 0 what you need: Tray (cake tray) can of refried beans (don't get the spicy, i accidentally did that last time i made this- NOT COOL) sour cream chopped lettuce (finely diced) cheddar cheese tomato, cucumber, croutons, etc. OPTIONAL - spread beans in tray spread sour cream over beans sprinkle lettuce sprinkle cheese add tomato, cucumber. etc.
