NWR: Sizing for Dance Shoes

so.... we're taking rumba lessons for our wedding dance! and i am looking to buy dance shoes for the wedding day because they are SO comfortable!!! i saw a shoe by Dance Naturals but am not sure what size to get. are there any dancers on the board that can help?

i wear normally a 5.5 to 6 street size. the Dance Naturals shoe comes in a 35, 35.5 and a 36. I tried on Dance Sport 35 before at World Tone and they were too narrow and ran a little small. I'm not sure what a 35.5 or a 36 is though. I'm afraid of getting 36 and then having it run too big. The place that I'm ordering from also won't accept returns/exchange because they are special making it for me...

any ideas gals?

Is it possible to order a similar style that's not custom made first? That way, you could get an idea of the size before you order anything that's final sale. Otherwise, maybe your dance instructor could give you some guidance on sizing.

Good luck. They're beautiful shoes.

WELL when sizes are 35, 36 those are european sizes actually. Even regular shoes come in those sizes

i figured that but when i tried on a 35 dance shoe size (i am usually a 35 street size), it ran too small so i think dance shoe sizes run a little differently....

for $299 they better be comfortable.
Why not go to a place that sells dancing shoes to try them on? I bought my shoes at a shoe store for $60 and they're super comfy, even for my dance lessons.
Good luck.

hahaha yea! i was like $299!!!

i ended up going to World Tone again last night (a store in the city that sells dance shoes). I think I finally found out my size but World Tone did not carry Dance Naturals. So it'll still be an approximation. Am a little hesitant to order still...

If it doesn't work out you can always sell it on ebay.
