NWR - Slander question for attorneys???

Can you sue someone for slander? I have my own business and one of my competitors is telling our mutual sales reps that I stole from them and not to do business with me. Can I sue them if I get letters from the sales reps stating this? Will this hold up in court? I'm so PO'd about this already!!!! Please help...

Contact a lawyer to represent you. Employed lawyers (like myself) on this board are going to be precluded from giving you legal advice here by the nature of their employment.

Contact a lawyer for you and inquire about sending a cease and desist letter. Usually that is enough to scare someone into shutting up - especially if you have proof!

No one can possibly predict the outcome of a lawsuit or how any particular evidence will be handled with the court.

I urge you to seek your own representation.

I second that. you would need to go to a lawyer and discuss it with them, they would be able to go over the details of the case and be better able to advise you.
