This is going to be a silly question, but is a slow cooker a handy appliance to have? What kinds of things do you use it for? Before I add one to my registry, I want to make sure it is something i know I will use.
very good to make stews and chillis, you can even cook spare ribs in it. Although all I ever make is chili and once or twice pork tenderloin - but there is so much you can do with it...

Re: NWR: Slow Cooker Question
I LOVE my Crockpot. I make stews, soups, and pot roast in it. It's great that you can put it on the low setting in the morning. When you get home from work, dinner is ready. You can find many other recipes on the internet for the Crockpot. I think it's very useful!

Re: NWR: Slow Cooker Question
looove my slow cooker! I have the digital Rival version.
It's fantastic, you throw all in the food in there before work and come home to dinner all ready for you! I have even used it for breakfast, put all the omelette ingredients in before bed and wake up to breakfast!
