So the second happiest day of my life is today - I am finally ordering my 27' iMac!!! I have been saving up for this baby for a while and I finally have enough to buy it.
So now FH and I need to get a desk for it. Not looking for anything extremely fancy and nothing very big.
We are probably going to hit up Bob's and Target but where else would you look?

Ikea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FH and I were there 2 weekends ago and saw TONS of cute desks (we already have one, actually got it at Walmart).
They had this really nice corner desk that I fell in love with but obviously we have no use for it.
Congrats on the computer though - thats exciting!!!!!!!

UMM I know the feeling - we bought a GLASS cabinet from there a couple weeks ago.
It's holding some of my CHINA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can imagine my stress putting this thing together but it looks AWESOME!!! And is SUPER sturdy.
My last apartment was ALL ikea furniture and is still holding up great in our new apartment now (we got new bedroom stuff) but everything else is the same.

Jessie when i lived at home.....I got this one!!!!!
Definitely try Ikea. I got my kitchen table from there, I am sitting at it typing right now. It has held up for 4 years now, and between FH and I and our son, it is still going! I love their stuff.

this actually wouldn't be bad. We are thinking of putting it in the living room and we have small space right between the couch and the dining room entrance so this looks like a good size.

ITA usually, but my desk is from Ikea and I've had it for almost 5 years now, moved with it twice, and I lean on like like 10 hours a day

I did just call DH and he said he was thinking to look at Ikea as well so we'll look. I did find 3 online that look nice but I want to see them in person.

if you get it from Ikea, make sure you go to the store for it. i liked so many of them from there but they are SO SMALL. it's like they're baby desks. they're short. FH isn't a giant, but he's 6 foot and the desks all came to his lap. so weird.i guess scandinavian people are tiny.

yeah we are def. looking in the store - I wouldn't trust ordering something like that online. I'd want to see it in person first.
