NWR- So Frustrated...

I am so frustrated. I feel like everytime My FH and make plans to either do something wedding related or even just go away for the weeked his daughters mother always calls the day of to tell him that his daughter has something school related or something he has to attend. I love his daughter to death, but his ex has no respect. She always waits til the day or or even like an hour before he would have to be somewhere to tell him. Am I being unreasonable for feeling this way? His daughter is a huge part in both of our lives and I love that he is always there for her. Tomorrow night we had planned on going to the meet with the priest for the first time and now his ex just called and said that she forgot to tell him that open school is tomorrow night (we saw her like 6 times this weekend and didn't mention anything). I feel like she does it on purpose. I am so mad.

Sorry this is so long. I just need to vent.

maybe you guys can sit down with her and bring her a calendar each month to write things down.. that way she can't pull the ' last minute but its really relaly important function 'crud... like open school night is on the school calendar when you get it in july... that you should have been informed of early...
hopefully it will calm down ex's STINK

I agree with msblt that might help the situation and you and FH wont feel like she keeps bringing things up out of the clear blue. Be on your P's & Q's because his ex may just be doing all this becuase she is jealous that you two are getting married. She might be mad that he decided to settle down and marry you and why he couldnt do the same with her considering they have a child together. I understand that what she is doing is a pain, but do your best to keep your cool especially with your FH and his daughter. You dont want her to be able to make it look like your upset because your FH has to do stuff for his daughter, be as understanding as possible without letting her run all over the situation

His daughter is six. She is like my best friend. I do understand what you everyone is trying to say though. I would never let her mother know that she is making me upset or affecting me in anyway. I went on to the school's website a few minutes ago and printed the next two months school calendar. Hopefully this will help us out.

Thanks. Sometimes I need to be reminded of this.

I think all will be alright. At some point she will have to realize that you will now be part of the family. You arent just some female that wants to put her two cents in you will be her daughter's step mom. At some point you too can have some sort of opinion on how she will be raised. She'll try to make it hard for you, but if you care about your Fh and his daughter as much as you seem to then nothing she does or say will anger you, you'll realize its just her lashing out. Continue with your planning, help your FH create the schedule and help him see despite her things can run smoothly

It has been discussed, but it goes in one ear and out the other. She has the upperhand since he has visitation. The only way he can really change anything is going back to court, which costs $. He keeps a journal of everything so when the time is right we can go to court and settle everything.
