ok so i want to totally thank the girl on here that said that the worst part was the front by the 'bony' part - bc i didnt believe her but that was what the lady did first and all i thought was 'if there is a part worse than this i am getting up and leaving'
it hurt. . .A LOT. . . but the moment it was done - the pain was gone and i am definitely going back again! I was red for a few hours but not anymore.
The only part i didnt like was that sometimes - you couldnt tell where the wax was going and it felt like some VERY delicate areas were going to be ripped off and that was VERY scary
I went to Spectrym on Austin St - i love that place and the lady was so nice bc she knew it was my first time LOL she had run out of wax for sensitive skin so she used the regular on me ( i dont have sensitive skin) so NEXT time when she uses the better wax it will hurt even less.
i cant even describe the pain - but i was laughing the whole time bc i couldnt keep my body from jerking around with every pull - i almost kicked her! LOL

my best friend and her sister used to go to spectrum all the time for brazilian, there was one woman (allison? pretty sure) who they loved but she left a year ago or so....how much did they charge if you don't mind me asking? i remember they loved it there because the price was very reasonable, i want to say like $30? this was like 2 years ago though, not sure if it's gone up since then....i've been looking for a good 'waxer' since i live in the immediate area...i used to go to a woman in rego park but everytime i went her price would mysteriously 'increase' until it went up to like $60 without tip and i just stopped going!
it was $40 - which i thought isnt so bad bc its something you only have to do like once a month!

before i even opened this up i knew it had to be that you got a brazilian.
YAY you finally did it lol. Yeah it hurts but nothing too crazy and the pain goes away in seconds. Like they say beauty is pain and us girls have to deal with all this bs lol.

OOh you brought me back. Congrats. It hurts but its so worth it. I just have one suggestion for the girls that want to get this done. Make sure you get someone recommended. I went to a place where my regular girl was out for the day and they gave me someone else they said was good at it. And well, no tears and pain is worth it . so up and out I was, hot waxed and all.

another suggestion i have and this is bc i learned the hard way lol, make sure you are completely dry, not sweating at all or anything like that...I did it the first time on a day it was over 100 degrees, i was told i shouldn't do it but didn't listen lol...so my skin was a little damp and what happens is your skin gets ripped off a bit, its horrible...So make sure they put baby powder or something ahead of time.
I once got a european wax, and it was AMAZING!!! but i did this for my legs, you dont feel a thing...the wax is a little more hot than the regular wax and its thicker, they put it on you all over and they you just sit there and wait for it to cool down, and then it just gets peeled off, it was so great and no pain at all, gotta find a place that does this, i was in europe when i got this done so not sure which places does it here

i will have to find out about that - i was so surprised when i went to italy bc you know, europeans have that stigma of not shaving BUT all the women even the old women, just waxed EVERYTHING like once a month - meaning legs, underarms, bikini etc. no one ever shaved!
my cousin's cousin just came back from there and they thought she was so 'behind' bc she asked for a razor!
anyway, i wonder if that is what they use and if that is why they are more willing to get it done regularly!

Yeah its funny bc people do have that impression of Europe but those ladies are up on all these things.
I think it is what they use and OMG tilde i cant tell you enough how great it is, you dont feel a thing at all...The wax they use is able to break off the hair folicle without ripping it off and when you peel it the hair just comes off on the wax. Now im curious if there are places here that do this, im gonna search online...I have seen places that say european salon but not sure how they wax, ill see what i can find
