NWR: So sad right now.....

It looks like Hurricane Rita has gone and ruined a lot of the help we provided for the lost/abandoned and deserted animals stuck in St. Bernard Parish off St. Claude Ave in New Orleans. All of our hard work has gone to h*e*l*l because the levee broke again. These poor animals now have to fend for themselves again in this toxic water without food b/c it was probably washed away. OMG...I am in tears right now. Those 12-14 hour days of breaking down doors, leaving food and water, and fixing up boo-boo's on the animals for absolutely no reason!!! It's just not fair........What a waste of time!!! Ugghhhhhh!!! I can't stand to watch this anymore....I see some of these dogs---I had them in my arms just 4 days ago----how sad that I recognize most of them---they were so happy to have us hug and kiss them and leave them food and fresh water everyday!!!

I'm so sorry for everyone who's been effected by these hurricanes.

my thougts and prayers are with them all, animals too!

Seeing all this right now has got to be the hardest thing for you. Just know that what you all did was a wonderful thing and those animals, people and anything else down there is so completely grateful. I think it could have been a lot worst if you were all not down there.
