nwr Something fun to do in li or the city

hey everyone i was wodnering if anyone had any sugestions for doing somehting fun in li or the city with fh ....that doess NOT include the beach...zoos...movies....museums....


i was thinking of somehting along the lines of a a day spa... winery,,,, miniture golfing ? did anyone try any of these ?

i cant come up wiht anything i want to try somehting new

You shoudl drive out east and go to the Winery's
we go all the time its really a nice ride and its beautiful out east..

You guys could also do the show at the planetarium in the city - if you are into music and stars its really cool! You could do that and dinner.

If you go to the wineries, go to Martha Clara and bring a picnic basket of cheese and crackers!

No you don't - just walk right in!

is it lilke that at all wineries? u just walk in with ur basket and say i wanna taste wine lol ? ...sorrie i dont know how it works :)

It works differently at different places, but at Martha Clara...

you walk in and go up to the bar in the main room and the actual tasting is free (this is not always the case at other places) they give you a little list and it tells you everything you're going to be tasting. you start with the lightest white and work your way up to the darkest red. you can spill out anything you don't like into these little buckets (almost nobody does that, lol). then, at the end of tasting, it is customary to go and buy a bottle of the wine you liked best (not too expensive, when I went my bottle was around $20 or $25) and then you take it over to a table with your picnic basket (all indoors) and drink and eat!!!

as far as i know there are no restrictions - you could prob bring some serious food, lol. but we just bough tlike cheese, crackers, pepperoni, stuff like that, because we also went to dinner at lobster roll afterwards, which i woud also recommend!

There are the wineries out east,
Splish Splash in Riverhead
Riverhead Raceway in Riverhead
Tanger Outlet if you wan to do some shopping
There is also the new casino in Queens I think in flushing)
The Boardwalk in Brooklyn and the Boardwalk in Nassau.
There is always tons of fun stuff to do in Freeport on the Miracle Mile.
Blidenburg Park in Smithtown. You could do a day of paddle boating and that kind of stuff.
You could go down to Port Jefferson and enjoy the day down there. Maybe walk on the ferry and do a round trip (eventhough Bridgeport isn't so glamorous downtown Fairfield is really nice).
Medford just opened up a new entertainment center since Sports Plus closed down. They have bowling, and mini golfing, as well as rock climbing.
Or you could go into the city and see a Play.
