NWR, sorry - need rec's for bars on west side of NYC

Sorry, I know you girls hate the NWR posting on this board, but I need help...meeting a friend from college after work tonight. She is staying at a hotel on 45th and 9th avenue in the city....I never hang out in that neighborhood, so I was hoping that one of you has a suggestion as to an after work bar near there???

you can go to the W in Times Square, the bar on the 7 th floor (i think) it's called the living room.

Or if you want to linger and drink good wine, go to kashkaval on 55th and 9th. so good!
