SO this situation has not happened yet, but FH and I think it may be a strong possibility.
FH is finishing grad school so he is looking for jobs. He has some pretty good job leads but they are about2/ 4 hours away from where we live now so that would mean a move for us and a job change for me.
This would be happening around August. The wedding is in December. Do I even start a new job and then ask for 2 weeks off?
I really want FH to get a job he loves but this is making me a little sick just thinking about it.

Re: NWR (sorta) Advice needed...a little long
FH just started a new job about a month ago and had to request 2 weeks off for our HM, and also one week off in December for his family trip.
the job was fine about it .... but you really should tell them at the interview so that they're aware of your situation.

i have to disagree... don't tell them anything at the interview! it's none of their business until they offer you the job!
i would interview and if you get an offer from somewhere and you'd like to take the job, then accept on the condition that you can have those 2 weeks off. most places will not give you a hard time since it was a preplanned thing...

ITA - I wouldn't say ANYTHING at the interview. Only tell them AFTER they offer the job.

Completely agree. I took 2 weeks off to travel to Israel when I started at my job years ago. I told them after they made the offer and they were fine with it.
