Spin classes are awesome...I did them a long time ago. You shouldn't be too scared. Everyone goes at their own pace. But if you do keep up, it is very fast & you sweat like crazy! Do it do it! Have fun

Re: NWR: Spinning?
I did it twice. After that, my schedule conflicted.. but at my gym was this one woman who showed me how to use the bike properly and during the class kept motivating me by saying 'wow, your doing great?' 'Really? This is your first time?' And 'We're at the end!' It was easy because I had the right instructor.
Try it out! And, if you don't like the class, try other times. They have different instructors at different times.
Good luck!

Re: NWR: Spinning?
Spinning, just like other cardio activities, is as hard as you make it. You have a dial on the bike to adjust the resistance, if you're new, you may use low resistance, and as you get into shape you can crank it up.
And since the bikes don't go anywhere, no one in the class knows how hard you're working but you!
I've been thinking about getting back into spinning lately, it can be a really really good workout... hurts my behind though!

Re: NWR: Spinning?
I used to do it a lot, but the gym I go to now doesn't have it... I have to go to the NYSC on 23rd if I want to do it... anyways...
I remember I dropped wieght quick by going to spin a couple times a week - it is great cardio! You can go at your own pace. Also, find an instructor that you like and make sure they use music you like. Once I took a class and they had Broadway Music the entire time!!! I like BWay music, but Mamma *** doesn't get me pumped to work out!
Good Luck

Re: NWR: Spinning?
I love my spinning class! I was dragging a little in the beggining but like previous posters its as hard as you make it. And since you are not moving no one really knows how fast or slow you are going because they are paying attention to their own pace. AND they shut the lights off so its pretty dark in there when you are movin.
My class does 45 minutes spin then 45 minutes body sculpt... I want to die after but it is amazing!
