Hi ladies. SO.. after hearing that Starbucks offers benefits to some part time employees I applied and they called me for an interview for some part time work. Just wondering what you ladies think.. have you ever worked for them or do you know someone who does?? Is it worth it, do they make anything decent? I feel like it could be a fun environment and I really don't want to stay in my office :( I just don't want to feel like I'm taking a big step back if this works out.. I'm still a student and obviously am saving for a wedding. any heads up or comments would be appreciated :)
I have a friend who works there in CA and she LOVES loves LOVES it. I also have a friend who works at one here and he makes enough of a living to be engaged and have a baby on the way.

That's my current back up plan if I can't get a job when we move back next month. A friend of mine used to work at Starbucks and she loved it and the benefits are a huge bonus.

FH and I both worked for Starbucks when we lived in Dallas. We loved the company and the benefits. But, when we moved to NY, the salary wasn't enough for us to buy a home on, so we both left. It still hurts to pay for their coffee when you've had it for free every day. Lol. Good luck!

I have a few friends who work for Starbucks. They like the benefits and each of them has made tons of friends working there, so it seems like they foster employee relationships. There are some drawbacks (some people work 5:30am openings, etc), but overall they must be OK with it since they've been there for years!

I've never worked for the company and I know some people that love it. But recently, I came across this forum and it made me die laughing. It's basically a bunch of sbux employees talking about how much they hate starbucks customers ihatestarbucks.com

I worked there in college and really enjoyed it! The free drinks also don't hurt
