NWR: STUPID CAR

so a year ago i got a lot of work done on my car - breaks, alignment, etc.

i just brought my car in b/c of a noise from the brakes and i need:

new rear brakes, new rear tires, alignment, and an oil change.

W*T*F!!! i am so annoyed! didn't i just get all those things done last year!?!?!?!??

I had the same issue...and my FH pointed out that I tend to use the brakes alot more then I need to, and I use them too hard...thus I needed new ones all the time... Do you break often... Like, I used to brake ALL the time... for ANY reason... and I would ride the brakes, but I don't no more...and I've had the same breaks for about 2 years now..I know I need new ones soon... LOL

OMG!! I'm going through the same thing right now! I had my car in for service yesterday because my check engine light was on. $1,289!!! It was running beautifully last night and this morning on the way in to work. I go out at lunch and my check engine light is back on and the car is running really rough again!!! I called volvo and they said to drop it off again tomorrow morning!!

I'm so annoyed!!!

that's what the last people asked me - if i was 'hard on the brakes.' i said not really. and i have made an effort NOT to ride them.. UGH BOO!!!

Breaks are usually replaced every 15-10K miles plus it also depends on how you drive.

OIL should be changed every 3K miles or every three months! Not once a year!

Alignments unfortunately happen a lot on the Island because of all the potholes that destroy cars' alignment- I think I am due for one.

FH is a head mechanic for a well known company on the Island- LOL, that's were I get my knowledge from.

you girls are too funny with all your information! sadly i know all these things but doesn't change the fact that i dont' have the money to fix my car!! part of the reason i am annoyed is b/c the people who worked on my car last did work on my sisters car and she had some issues and they were real jerks about it.

and i have gotten an oil change since last year!!!

It must be something in the air. I'm having the SAME problems with my car.
