NWR -- Suggestions for last minute vacation?

Hi girls,
FH and I want to go on a one week vacation. Nowhere too expensive, possibly somewhere we can drive to -- but not necessarily. We both have time off and have not planned anything. We want to go for about a week. I was thinking Disney World because I've never been, but the weather looks hot and rainy. We want somewhere beachy and where there are also other activities side from the beach.
Any suggestions? We want to book somewhere today and are not sure where! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Maybe Virginia---like Virginia Beach and then you could go to Williamsburg for both Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens there.

My suggesiton is Ocean city maryland. Go to CBvacations.com, and look up properties for that week....you should be able to get a good deal, because at this point, they just want to rent out the property. I usually stay a t the Sea Watch..it's a huge condo development on the beach...and the restaurants there are yum-yummy. Besdies the beach though, there's other things to do..most of all, it's relaxing...FH and I are going in August. FM me if you want more details.
HTH.

You can drive to Ocean City or even South Jersey--Cape May. For someplace a little farther, you can try for Virginia Beach and even North Carolina/South Carolina, which has beautiful beaches.

What about going to the Cape? Chatham is really nice in the summer. From there, you can go to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket also.

Someone I work with must have subscribed to receive some stuff from a travel agency. We are always getting things for last minute deals. Today we received this last minute package thing.
It's got a lot of stuff on it.
5 day to Orlando
3 day daytona beach
3 day Bahamas
5 days Mexico

and they 299.99 a person.
I don't know anything about it or if there is a catch involved, because we are never able to travel last minute.
but if you are interested you can contact them 1800-592-2140.

Thanks ladies! We actually are going to Disney -- I've never been and really wanted to go!
We went to cape cod last summer, it was great, but wanted to try something new.
