does anyone know what store that carries reasonably prices suits to wear on an interview? TIA

TJ mAxx and Marshall's believe it or not... you just have to look through the racks... I got a Jones NY suit there for $80 and it was orignially $500. ALso got an Anne Klein suit there too.
I've also had luck at Ann Taylor Loft and the Limited.

Last time I was interviewing was feb 2003.... at that time, H&M was GOLDEN. I found very nice suits that were professional, stylish, and age-appropriate (not for a 50 year old!). Each suit was only $80! I bought 3 of them..... I still use them today...
It was WINTER, though..... I don't know what's in stock right now.....

If you have time to go to Tanger in Riverhead, they have a GREAT selection of suits at very reasonable prices.
If not, I would go to ann taylor loft or macys...

K & G Superstore is fantastic...they are a chain and have brand names like Larry Levine with a 3 piece suit (skirt/jacket/pants) for $60. They have a website with locations but I think there's one in Garden City, on the other side of Roosevelt Field in a strip mall.

- Ann Taylor outlet - Macy's suit sale (they have Tahari, Ann Klein, Calvin Klein amongst others) - Marshall's - TJ Maxx
