NWR: SURGERY IS BOOKED

SO GIRLS THE SURGERY HAS BEEN BOOKED FOR 10/15 UNLESS I HAVE ANY PROBLEMS BEFORE THEN.......WHICH IS SCARING THE $H*T OUT OF ME EVERY LITTLE PAIN I FEEL IM AFRAID MY OVARY IS GOING TO BURST WELL WISH ME LUCK HOPEFULLY ALL GOES WELL AND ALL I KEEP TELLING MYSELF IS THANK GOD THIS DIDNT HAPPEN CLOSER TO MY WEDDING DAY

Try not to worry too much. I had a hemorraghic cyst burst once. In retrospect, there were some warning signs. At the risk of over sharing, I'll try to describe what I experienced, so you don't stress too much over every little twinge. I should add that I know everyone is different and I am not trying to minimize what you are going through.

It started about a week before the cyst burst. I had stomach cramps that were getting progressively worse. It was not just an occasional twinge that passed quickly . . . these were more intense and longer lasting pains. I also had spotting and staining, which is unusual for me. I also had a low grade fever.

ETA: One thing with the surgery that I wished somebody had warned me about was that you might have shoulder pain afterwards. They use carbon dioxide to expand your abdomen during the procedure. For reasons I don't understand, the carbon dioxide sometimes settles in the shoulder. When it happened, I was freaked out because I had NO idea what was going on.

I know it is scary but I promise you will be okay I had a very large cyst removed from my right ovary when I was 17. If you need anything or want to ask any questions about recovery or the actual procedure itself feel free to FM me! It is best to have it removed so you are doing the right thing.
